US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that he wants Gaza to become US property by turning it into a "free" zone, amid the ongoing war in the region for more than a year.

Trump indicated in his speech that he has good visions for the future of Gaza, by making it a "free" zone, as he put it.

"I have very good ideas for Gaza: make it a zone of freedom," Trump said during a speech at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar. "I would be proud if the United States owned it, took it, and made it a zone of freedom."

The same source indicated that the United States may resume military operations against the Houthis in Yemen if they launch an attack, following the agreement concluded between them under Omani sponsorship in May.

Trump explained, "We are dealing with the Houthis, and I think that has been very successful, but there may be an attack tomorrow, in which case we will go back on the attack."

The US President's controversial statements regarding Palestinian Arab land were made on Arab soil while he was a guest of Qatar, having arrived from Saudi Arabia after meeting there with the new Syrian President, Ahmed al-Sharaa, through Saudi mediation by King Salman.

A visit that undoubtedly carries more than one idea for Trump, to continue implementing the so-called New Middle East project, while the war machine in Gaza is reaping the harvest of the green and the dry in preparation for fulfilling Trump's desires.

It is worth noting that Trump's idea is not new, but he has put forward it more than once and on more than one occasion after his victory in the last US elections, and his direct contacts with more than one head of state in the Middle East to achieve his goal, especially Egypt and Jordan, through his proposal to find a solution to the displacement of the residents of Gaza, and then transform its land into a tourist resort, a proposal that still haunts Trump's imagination, in an effort to implement it on the ground, despite its unanimous international and Arab rejection.
